The Fishhook Caves

Discovered in 1905 by local explorer Pedro Caldentey, the Coves dels Hams is celebrated for its unique, delicate rock formations. The name originates from the unusual hook-shaped stalactites — hams meaning fishhooks in Mallorquín — which scientists believe were formed by unique airflow patterns or microscopic water currents. Smaller and more intimate than its neighbour, the tour takes visitors through 15 distinct areas across 850 metres of illuminated galleries.

The Sea of Venice and the Magical Mozart

The experience features early 1912 electrical installations alongside modern digital projections, concluding with a classical light and sound performance, The Magical Mozart, on the underground lake known as the Sea of Venice. The cave complex shares its site with Dinosaurland, an interactive park displaying over 100 life-sized, animatronic dinosaur models that move and produce sound — families travelling with children can purchase convenient combination tickets to experience both attractions in a single day.
